As far as I know, and correct me if I'm wrong, they did the "invisible side ear" because the shows were meant for children, and it was for easier association with the phone, since we have our ears on the side of the head. Never-the less, I'm really happy they're finally changing it to the right position. Children ain't that stupid, and this has been bothering me for so damn long.
